Out Door Recreation Inclusion? What's that?
After taking part in a speaking panel on outdoor recreation, I was interviewed by the local paper, VOLUME ONE to open up and talk more about my passion for accessibility in the outdoors. Inclusive and adaptive outdoor rec is pretty rare around these parts. There isn’t an adaptive recreation therapy or adaptive sports programs in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This may be one of the first steps of many to a much-needed inclusion movement toward getting everyone outside. Since outdoor rec has been such a HUGE part of my life and way of being, it will always be part of my message and platform. After all, if there is anything I can attribute my healing, growth, and inspiration to, it would be our mother, nature. That, and many other very cool things like my rad family, husband, and dog kisses. Lots of dog kisses.
